Interactive design has been an interest to me over the past 4 years because of the challenges working in the field offers. A New Media Developer must have all the skills necessary to create something that is functional, user friendly, conveys information well, and is aesthetically pleasing all at the same time. In order to do this its important to have good creative skills and an eye for static and motion design and Layout. Logical thinking and familiarity with the many programs one must utilize in order to create for the web is essential for success in the field. Creating a web site, or a multimedia CD-ROM, is a challenge that calls for many different skills and a working knowledge of the medium and because of its demands, people like myself who become immersed in multimedia design, must have a passion for it.
